Didn’t get the tickets for George Ezra’s Wembley gig? Worry not: the artist announced a gig at the O2 in March 2019, and the tickets go on sale this Friday.
This year, George Ezra will play a sold-out show at the SSE Arena in Wembley in November. But those who want to see him and didn’t manage to get the tickets the first time around are in luck: the singer announced his first ever headline arena tour, including 10 shows across the UK. His London gig will take place on the 19th of March 2019.
“We’re going on tour! And not just any tour, the biggest run of dates that I will have ever played, ending at The O2. Touring these new songs along with all of the first album has meant that the last year has been the most amazing twelve months imaginable, to all of you that have made a show so far, thank you,” the artist said. “And to all of you that we will see next year, hold tight! Get practising those songs, polishing off your dancing shoes, let’s make it one to remember.”
The artist has had a successful streak: his second album Staying at Tamara’s continues to dominate the Official Albums Chart 20 weeks after the release as the biggest selling album this year so far. His first number one single Shotgun rose to the top in June, following Paradise that peaked at number two in UK singles chart. His debut album Wanted on Voyage was just as successful: it was nominated for four BRIT Awards, ascended in the charts and became a multi-platinum record. Besides the airplay and sales success, he headlined Boardmasters Festival and Standon Calling this year as a part of a continuous sequence of gigs he played around the world.
The tickets for the O2 show go on sale this Friday, the 17th of August, at 9am. You’ll be able to get them at theo2.co.uk or by calling 0844 856 0202. The tickets will also be available through the popular sellers: Ticketmaster, See Tickets and AXS. They’re priced at £39.20-£50.75, plus a booking fee.
