What if we had the solution to all the diseases and problems of the world? A sad truth about the world of media emerges from the brilliant short film Cream, based on an intriguing premise that takes aim at sensationalism and big media corporations.

The short made by David Firth, the creator of Salad Fingers (a series that made it to Top 10 of Internet phenomena in 2005) and the director of the spooky video for Flying Lotus. The Yorkshire artist is known for his surreal, experimental, thought-provoking work, and his newest work is a take on the world of media that bends the reality to suit the moguls behind them.

Dr Bellifer creates a product that solves every problem in the world. It cures diseases, repairs broken things, or even brings people from the dead. Cream can also improve the things that aren’t good enough, from body defects to troubled minds. And soon, it gains even more power… but also a lot of interest from those whose business is likely being killed by the magic of this wonder in a tub.
